Lydia Elizabeth Leet and her sister, Mary M. Leet, in 1856. This daguerreotype photograph was probably taken in Madison County, New York. They were the daughters of Harvey H. Leet and his wife, Harriet (Hotchkins) Leet. The note included in the case is in period handwriting and states “Lydia Leet – 19 years 1856 Mary Leet – 17 years.”
